As a team we decided to conduct oral history interviews after the survey in order for us to get personal narratives from the seniors based of their experience and fill in the gaps in our research and current findings. We had plans to interview at least 10 seniors, however due to scheduling conflicts we resulted to two.
On the day of the session, the two senior citizens who had originally agreed to participate were unable to attend. Despite this setback, two other seniors at the centre expressed interest in the project and kindly agreed to be interviewed by team members Lourdes and Tshepo. Their contributions provided valuable insights and helped us continue with the research process despite the unforeseen change in participants.
