Testifying at the Legislature
At the start of this year’s state legislative session, Thaddeus Hempel and Serena Laws presented their testimony to the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee regarding the Connecticut Child Tax Credit. He shared his project and the story of Maria, the mother in the video we produced.

After seeing the impact the testimony had, United Way of CT decided to organize a press conference to spread the stories to new audiences. The press conference had state representatives, students, United Way representatives, and professors speaking.

Flyer Creation
Using the data obtained from our interviews, we crafted a flyer that best represented the message of our project. Drawing from the insights gained through the data analysis, the flyer was meant to pick out our most notable findings.
