Description
This piece entitled “Aids” was created by Victor Pacheco in 1997. The mural features flags from a variety of countries, and depictions of different types of people. The mural has a note that reads, “Dedicated to those struggling with HIV or Aids” and was meant to show that the Aids epidemic was affecting many cultures, and to counter the stereotype that one type of person was more likely to be affected.
This Item includes an image of the mural, an audio file, and a transcript from an interview with Lindaluz Carrillo
