Jorge Rivera is a leader and role model for the Latino community in Hartford; he has defined his focus to help better the lives of troubled children and their families. Touching on his motives, he aimed to create a healthy, caring, supportive community through the founding of Mi Casa in 1991. Mi Casa, with the collaboration of the Hispanic Health Council, offers family support programs, educational programs, resources, and services to the public, specifically troubled children and their families.
