Non- Hartford residents
In analyzing both the resident and non resident surveys we mainly looked at the question “ Thinking of the last time you contacted city services, how did you do it?”. This question was important to find out how other cities are being contacted. The biggest discrepancy we found was that contacting through the city 3-1-1 or government app for Hartford residents was the second most used while for non-Hartford residents only 1 person admitted to using the 3-1-1 app.
Overall phone use was the majority used throughout both residents and non residents, while in person website and email had little total differences. Thus, many cities do not have one certain platform for which all residents contact the city through. Also many cities that we receive data from do not utilize their 3-1-1 app.
