-Garret Forst is currently a student at Trinity College, class of 2019. He is majoring in urban studies and history. Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, Garret has a passion for the study of cities and neighborhoods, particularly the cities of the industrial Midwest and Northeast known as the “Rustbelt.” He comes to this team with a background in community development and urban politics having worked with both Cleveland City Council and Hartford’s Southwest/Behind the Rocks Neighborhood Revitalization Zone on previous community development efforts.
-Lindon James is a student at Capital Community Community College and a lifelong resident of the North Hartford Promise Zone having grown up on Harper St. He is currently studying business management and health administration. He has a health background as a certified Patient Care Technician (PCT). He also brings to this project a very detailed knowledge of the Promise Zone having been a long time volunteer with Hartford Resource Mission where he serves the city’s homeless.
-Nadia Lugo is the Data and Program Coordinator at Community Solutions, our team’s community partner. In her work, she is committed to improving public health in the North Hartford Promise Zone. At Community Solutions, her work has included the development of a catalogue of neighborhood resources for the Promise Zone in addition to the creation of a Community Asset Map. She is devoted to leveraging the strengths of the Promise Zone in order to promote positive change.
